In Fortress of Fear, the being lived in the Forbidden Jungle and acted as one of Lord Argoth's minions. Argoth sent him to defeat Thundarr and re-capture Princess Ariel. At first it seemed he had succeeded, when the "beast" easily tossed Thundarr and Ookla aside then walked off with Ariel. But Thundarr was able to cause him to fall down a very large embankment thus forcing him to give up.

- Despite being ostensibly a giant monster, the beast is at least as intelligent as Ookla.
- His immense size (over 20 feet tall) comes with great strength and durability.
